Project Faith Outreach Project – HopeTree Family Services

Even though the date for Project Faith has been postponed, as you and your family are able, we have a couple different options to serve HopeTree Family Services during this time of crisis. They have 17 adults and 11 students who are living on their campus and unable to socialize in their normal ways. We would like to bless them with note cards, scriptures, art or drawings and messages of comfort.

There are a couple different ways that you can participate:

  • Write a notecard with words of encouragement
  • Draw a photo with a verse or hopeful image
  • Make a homemade card with words of encouragement, hopeful images and / or verses

You have three options to deliver the items:

  • Mail – to FCS 3585 Buck Mountain Road Roanoke VA 24018 Attention- Shelly Whitaker
  • Drop off – in designated box in the red cart in front of the school between 8:30am and 3:00 pm
  • Email – scan or photograph your images or card and email to

Another option to bless them is to make masks for their staff. They have 200 direct care staff, clinicians, and social workers who have direct contact with their clients in Residential, Foster Care, and DDM. As you are aware, masks are in short supply and they are in great need. Suggested sewing instructions are posted on our website. If you are able to make a mask, you can mail or drop-off as listed above.
