Employment Opportunities
Middle and Upper School Math (25-26)
Faith Christian School is offering an extraordinary opportunity to join other teachers working to uncover the beauty of math for middle and upper school students. Nestled among the Blue Ridge Mountains in Roanoke, Virginia, Faith is looking for a warm-hearted, serious-minded math teacher to join the ranks of our fellowship of Christian scholars. Along with teaching math primarily to middle school and potentially to upper school students, applicants will desire to engage the hearts and minds of their students enthusiastically in discussions about the big ideas of math as well as its beauty, history, and purpose.
Furthermore, in the great tradition of classical Christian education, applicants should be eager to integrate disciplines, to assist students in seeing how God reveals his nature and character through math, and to emphasize Socratic teaching methods. The position may include other instructional and extracurricular opportunities based on our need or the applicant's interest, experience, and gifting. A bachelor’s degree is required, experience preferred, and a sense of humor and joy a must. Interested applicants can send a resume and cover letter to Stephanie Hopkins at shopkins@fcsva.com.

Proficiency in English grammar, punctuation, and usage skills are required, as well as the practical skills necessary to produce exceptional writing. Furthermore, applicants should be eager to integrate disciplines, to lead students to see how God reveals his nature and character through universal literary and historical themes, and to model the power of dialectic and Socratic teaching methods. A bachelor’s degree is required, experience preferred, and enthusiasm, a sense of humor, and joy a must. Send resume and letter of introduction to Stephanie Hopkins at shopkins@fcsva.com.

The applicant should be eager and able to build on our current Christian, classical program. It will include music history, literacy, composition, appreciation, listening skills, and a robust understanding of a Biblical rationale for the importance of music. A bachelor's degree is required, experience preferred, and enthusiasm and joy a must. Send resume and letter of introduction to Stephanie Hopkins at shopkins@fcsva.com.
We are thankful for such an amazing school where we have seen growth spiritually and academically in both kiddos. The way that I have seen teachers care for each student is phenomenal and so special. So thankful that God has led us at FCS!
